ABOUT THE SEMINAR

This seminar will explore the impact of export consortia on female-led businesses in Tunisia. Dr. Florian Münch from the London School of Economics will present findings from a randomized controlled trial (RCT) that incentivized female entrepreneurs to organize into consortia. The study reveals how these consortia affected firm performance, export capabilities, and entrepreneurial empowerment. Key findings include increased export likelihood, sales growth, and expanded business networks for participants. Dr. Münch will discuss how consortia enabled knowledge sharing and fostered confidence among female entrepreneurs, while also addressing the challenges of cooperation. This seminar offers valuable insights into innovative approaches for promoting female entrepreneurship and export growth in developing economies.
